Process change "-" to "_" and remove "." ?

Process change "-" to "_" and remove "." ? new!

Hi,

I set 
$handle->file_new_name_body = 'detp-region'.'.thumbnail.';
when I upload a file the destination file is dept_regionthumbnail.jpg

And after around one hour I don't understand why.... any help ?

Try to add the following:
$handle->file_safe_name = false;

I read the docs, but they say only change space with _ ! That's why !
