I've looked at and tired a variety of the settings (based on some of the forum posts) and no matter what I do when I upload a portrait image from my phone it turns it sideways.

The class doesn't read any orientation data from EXIF. So if your image is sideways, it must be the phone sending it that way...

Ok, I looked into it further and it seems that this is a common problem with Samsung S5 if you take the picture in portrait. I guess they want all pictures to be taken with the phone being held in landscape. Works fine from an ipad.
